This report reads every used Tesla ad we track in the UAE and rebuilds itself as ads change. We merge ads so a car listed on three sites counts once. Each chart carries its own date and the number of cars behind it, and a group with too few cars shows no figure at all. If you want the price of one model, trim and year, the Tesla price index has the full table.

Asking prices for every Tesla on sale today. We split the Model Y by generation, because the 2026 car and earlier ones are priced as two different cars. Prices that look like listing errors are left out.

One dot per car on sale. Red dots ask more than our value for a comparable car, black dots ask less. The dashed line is our fair value: what comparable cars are worth at that mileage. A car well above the line is where to ask for a lower price.

How asking prices moved, week by week

Each point is the median asking price of the cars on sale at the end of that week. A falling line means sellers ask less, which is a different thing from what buyers pay.

Over the last four weeks, the median asking price for a Model Y (2020 to 2025) fell 4%, and for a Model 3 rose 2.1%.

Are used Teslas in the UAE overpriced?

For each car we work out what comparable cars ask: same model and trim, a model year either side, same market, adjusted to the car’s own mileage. Then we compare the car’s asking price with that value. A car with fewer than five comparable cars gets no score, so it is left out here.

About half of scored Teslas (49%) ask more than our mileage-adjusted value for a comparable car, and 50% ask less. The typical car asks 0.2% below that value.

Re-export cars and local cars

Some Teslas for sale in the UAE have non-GCC specs, or sit with dealers in Dubai’s export car zone. Most of these are bought to ship abroad. We treat them as their own market and never compare them with local retail cars.

Re-export cars are priced closer to their value: 29% ask above it, against 51% of local retail cars.

How many Teslas come and go each week

New cars are the ones we saw for the first time that week. A car leaves the market when every ad for it is marked sold or taken down. We never see the sale price, and we cannot tell a sale from a seller who gave up.

In the last four full weeks, 248 Teslas were newly listed and 229 left the market, so supply held about level.

How long a used Tesla stays on the market

Days run from the first day we saw any ad for the car to the last day we saw one. A short time on market tells you demand is strong for that model, or that the price was right.

Model 3s leave the market fastest, typically in about four weeks. Cybertrucks take longest, about nine weeks.

Price cuts before a car leaves

We record the asking price each time we check an ad, so we see every cut. We ignore drops of more than 40%, since those are usually a typo being fixed.

About one in five Teslas (23%) cut the asking price before leaving the market. A typical cut is 4.2%, and the first one comes about two weeks after listing. After the last cut, the car is typically gone in about three weeks.

What this means if you are buying

  • Start with cars that ask less than our value. Each car on PlaidCars shows its deal label and how many cars it was compared with.
  • Check the price history on the car’s page. A car that has sat for longer than is typical for its model, with no cut yet, is where an offer below asking has the best chance.
  • If a price looks too good, check the specs and the warranty. A re-export car can be the cheaper car for a reason.

How we make this report

Every figure on this page comes from our own data and updates as listings change. Nothing is typed by hand. We quote a group only when it holds 20 or more cars. "Left the market" means every ad for the car was marked sold or removed. We do not know the sale price, or whether a sale happened. How we value a car.
